The world we live in has entered an unprecedented level of contrivance. We work our asses off for low pay, a barely functioning healthcare system, monopolized retail options, and a governing body that is not interested in listening to us.

On top of all of that, the same issues that plague us politically have a second edge: they pollute the Earth. For decades, scientists have been warning the public, the media, and the government to do something. Anything!

Meanwhile, fossil fuel companies bought their way through mainstream media outlets and congressmen’s election campaigns. By using both deregulation and disinformation, the pollution industry’s profiteers have amassed an ungodly amount of money–more than they could spend in 100 lifetimes.

And yet, year after year, they still expect us to watch the entirety of the Oscars.

Well, Oscars be damned.

Let’s give them something to complain about.
